Almost everyone suffers from acne at some time. Pimples, blackheads, and whiteheads, no fun!
People get acne because hormones made by the body called androgens make the skin oily. Acne seems to run in some families.
Before you pay for expensive doctor visits, try these acne-fighting tips:
- Dont scrub it will only irritate the skin.
- Use a mild soap, one thats made for people with acne. Wash your face in the morning and at bedtime. Your Lewis pharmacist can help you find a good soap!
- Use benzoyl peroxide. Follow the label directions carefully, and remember that benzoyl peroxide can bleach hair or clothes.
Finally, if you have tried these tips for a couple of months and have had no success, you may consider seeing a dermatologist.
